It is about privilege and those who seek to have and perpetuate it through perverted contrivances of law. There was only one dissenting voice in parliament decrying this lassis faire policy of systematic 'genocide'. He lost his seat for it. This was broadly supported governmental policy of the same type and on the same scale as that inflicted on the Jews by Hitler. It is uncomfortable. We gloss it over.
